Aspect Species in Emynea | World Anvil

Aspect

Every Erlithmanil has five aspects. These are both distinctions between and expressions of their power and actual pieces of the mind and soul. These entities live within their own Elemental Planes, unable to leave their domains but capable of immense influence within them. They each have their own personalities, predilections and consciousness despite being one piece of an entire Erlithmanil. All Racial Magic pulls from these entities and their planes, dependant on a casters innate connection to two aspects.

Basic Information

Anatomy

by Lee Stepp

These entities are the physical and mental embodiment of their element, living expressions of nature. While they are capable of taking on a fleshy body, their natural form consists entirely of whatever they embody such as Azowyr consisting of shadow or Ferith consisting of flame. They can freely alter their fleshy appearance similarly to a shape shifter and even their size within their plane, growing to monumental proportions.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

by Lee Stepp

They can peek through portals and windows within their plane and observe the physical world in this way. They can extend themselves into iterations of their element as well and manipulate these to some extent, fairly limited without a physical body. They can also sense when someone is connecting to them and pulling power from them via racial magic or otherwise. They are aware of everything and anything occurring within their plane and can shift their focus to occurrences of their element in the physical world, these occurrences akin to extensions of their body.
