Northside Park

The newest of New Jerusalem’s city parks, it was dedicated in 1953 after an extensive building project led by the city fathers. It has a large central fountain, numerous walks, seats, several new play sets, concrete barbecues, wooden gazebo style huts, and a small, but regulation, little league practice ball field. It is a vastly popular spot on weekends for Northside and Downtown families and workers. There has been some recent controversy around younger women sunbathing here. As with all parks, it is also neutral ground for dogs and cats.
