Dunkin' Donuts - 523 W Wantage Street

The newest food establishment in town is this brand new, shining franchise of the Dunkin' Donuts company, soon to become ubiquitous throughout Massachusetts. Here the customers can sit and drink good, strong coffee by the endless mug full and watch as the bakers make the donuts. Modeled off the Howard Johnson chain of franchised ice cream stores Dunkin’ Donuts is bound to be a hit, even though many say it will never catch on. The first franchised restaurant was opened in Dedham, and this is the fourth.
They sell 52 varieties of donuts, enough to have a different special each week of the year. Donuts run 5-7 cents each and coffee 10 cents. Though it is catching on, some of the town fathers are not so sure about the place being open 20 hours a day, however the local police, fire fighter, and medical community love it.
Open Monday-Saturday, 5 a.m. to 1 a.m.
