Construction Site - 570 N West Street

Bulldozers and steam shovels grind around this lot. At the perimeter of a large excavation, foundations are being poured for a new, six-story apartment building. Builders optimistically tout a May opening, but most Jerusalemites are betting they'll be lucky to be ready for the University's next fall semester.
Jack Birch has been working in construction all his life and is currently working as the foreman at the site of the apartment building being built on West Street. He’s gotten into a few discussions with his bosses over what he is telling them are unrealistic goals for the project’s completion, as there is no way it will be complete for May, even if everything goes perfectly. Perhaps fortunately, his bosses do realize this, but they don’t want this stated publicly; they’d rather people think they are more on track.
