Protect Iomhare, that is your singular fucking purpose, how hard is it to understand? Envien is burning because this force failed, every level of this force has broken down spectacularly. While we deal with this mess, I expect each and every one of you to stand up, and complete the job you were meant to do. I don't care if you have to order the shooting down of every fucking ship that enters the system, you will do your duty to union and country.The Iomhare Defence Force is a Combined Sector Defence Command of the Federation Armed Forces, made up of the Iomhare Defence Fleet and the Iomhare Defence Army. It encompasses several System Fleets of the Federation Interstellar Navy, and numerous Field Armies of the Federation Federal Army, as well as other independent units. Significant defence arrays like the Envien Planetary Shield also fall under the Force's purview. Protecting Iomhare, the capital Sector of the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets, the Iomhare Defence Force is one of the highest funded and well equipped units of the Federation Armed Forces. The leadership of the force currently falls to Lieutenant Admiral Vivek Sastri, and the Force is headquartered on Beon III. A small department of the organisation is also present at the Federation Central Base Command on Anfieden. The Iomhare Defence Force is the oldest military unit of the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets, having been founded during the Federation of Iomhare, the precursor to the modern Federation. Heavy elements of the Defence Force would be moulded into the Federation Navy and Army following the formal union of Iomhare and Raybia, which formed the modern Federation. The Defence Force has been split between the Navy and Army for most of its existence, and cooperation between the two branches has been almost non-existent. As with many organisations, the outbreak of the 2nd Galactical War would radically change the Federation Military, especially with the creation of the Federation Armed Forces. The Iomhare Defence Force would finally become a firm defensive unit of the Federation, rather than a Fleet or Army stationed at the capital. A number of recent crises have prompted some debate around the effectiveness of the Iomhare Defence Force, as the Force was unable to prevent or stop the FNV Porter Hijacking & Attacks, that would kill nearly 2 million, and injure 10 million.
