Hamia is the name for both the town of Hamai and the region of land surrounding it. It is part of the nation of Aratai.

The town itself is a coastal town in the north-west of the Kingdom of Aratai. The climate of Hamia is dry, warm and arid. It is an important trading city of the nation of Aratai; not only does the Aratai West Highway pass through it, bringing a constant stream of caravans through it, but it is also an important port city. People and goods from other cities within the inner sea, as well as upstream from the mighty Isen river, also bring trade continually through the town. As a result, it is a place with a large number of taverns and inns, full of diverse peoples from around the known world. For a small place, there is always something new, colourful and interesting happening.
For those new to the Dice Legenz world, consider Hamia to be like old Turkey rather than a European environment.

Lady Maudalina represents the Aratai crown in Hamia. She resides in the town's keep. She is deeply in debt to the local Thieves' Guild.
