Ruins of Kermodem

The Ruins of Kermodem are located in the vast forest to the north of Hamia and to the east of the large elven ruins of Pherandiel.   It was settled by the elves of Pherandiel after its spring dried up. Unfortunately, the river that supplied Kermodem with water also dried up and the inhabitants were forced to abandon the town.   Kermodem is comprised of ornate terraced buildings that show evidence of opulent gold and purple designs. Much of the purple is now faded, and most of the gilding has been stripped.   Despite most of the town being a ruin, there are a few that still call it home.   Vaela: A quick-witted halfling with a talent for finding hidden water sources, Vaela scours the parched landscape surrounding Kermodem in search of precious drops of moisture.   Rennix: A wiry and nimble human scavenger, Rennix has a keen eye for spotting hidden treasures amidst the ruins of Kermodem. With a weathered cloak and a collection of makeshift tools, Rennix navigates the crumbling structures with agility, always cautious of the dangers that lie within.   Dur: a clever and dextrous goblin that keens an eye on Kermodem on behalf of its goblin clan closeby in the forest.   Elias the Hermit, a weathered old man with a long unkempt beard, resides alone amidst the crumbling remnants of Kermodem, his eyes filled with ancient wisdom and melancholy. In solitude, he spends his days studying the fading elven runes, seeking forgotten knowledge, and tending to a small garden, a testament to his resilient spirit in the arid wasteland the elves once called home. He hides a sinister past. He yells at people at people to get off his ruin.
