Temple to Nefasi - Hamia

The temple to Nefasi - Goddess of Storms and Seas in the small town of Hamia is also connected to the town's large lighthouse. The clerics of Nefasi accept offerings from citizens of Hamia as well as sailors passing through, and ritually burn them in the large brazier at the top of the lighthouse. Gifts of gold and silver, are not burnt, but rather make their way to the coffers of the temple.
When the accolytes of the temple sense an impending storm they feed the brazier with fuel that changes its colour - green for storms, red for shipwreck, blue for special times of ritual when the spirit of Nefasi is near).
Beneath the temple is an extensive and ancient crypt which goes back to a time before memory of anyone living in Hamia.
