Estaria is the oldest surviving human society to come after the Age of work, emerging from a fiefdom that survived the chaotic period of the First Shapers.

Estaria has a population of over twenty four million humans, over four million Droven, nearly four million Chimera and less than a thousand Giants. A majority of the Chimera population is enslaved, and the miniscule distribution of giants are in its smaller territories outside of Solgrad. A majority of the human population is Auklan.Government
Estaria is a parliamentary monarchy as of 1732 SE. For the first millennia of its history, it was a feudal monarchy. The royal family of Estaria still has a great deal of political power, however; particularly in war powers. The ruling monarch has the ability to declare war and sign treaties without parliamentary approval. In domestic policy, the parliament has a greater degree of power. Though royals can veto a parliamentary law, the parliament can pass the vetoed law a second time with a simple majority to make it veto proof.Geography
Estaria has a vast territory spanning from the Crescent Sea, bordering Keth all the way to Lake Passi to the east. The majority of Estaria's heartland at the center of Vildrel's supercontinent is known as the Lowland Collar.Major Settlements

(Main article Solgrad) Solgrad is the densely populated capital of Estaria. It's known as the City of Keeps, and is the home of more than half of Estaria's entire population. The city is famous for its sprawling architecture where in roughly half of its free-standing buildings are fortified castles, built in extreme density. Most of these castles do not function as defensive structures, but rather housing, storage, shopping districts, and all manner of purposes for day-to-day life. Lockford is a far western dutchy known for the production of silk and rice, and a major trading port authority. It was once a priory of Prekha before its annexation in 1437 SE.Hedgewall
Hedgewall is a relatively small settlement to the south of Solgrad, notable for its tolerance of Renewist Atovism and being the birthplace of the Hesphus line of kings, which reigned for most of the fifth through eighth centuries. It has always had outsized political influence compared to similarly sized settlements.Lanas
(Main article Lanas) Lanas (pronounced Lan-es) was the original capital of Estaria and the birthplace of King Edwyn the Holy. It served as the capital of Estaria from 903 SE until 1378, when it was sacked and conquered by raiders from Sura Pel. It has since returned to Estarian control after the Sunrise War. Due to its long occupation, Lanas has the largest collection of modern Schulanists in the region, though it's still majority Atovist.Eigrad
(Main article Eigrad) Eigrad (pronounced aye-grad) was once the capital city of Sura Pel. After the city was captured by King Eiknir the Great, its name was changed to honor the king. The city is filled with sandstone architecture with Schulanist influence. It's the largest Estarian settlement near the Crescent Sea, and the empire's largest defense against Keth.History

Estaria has been a hereditary monarchy since its inception, and has several key historical kings.- King Eiknir the Great - Widely regarded as the greatest ruler Estaria has ever seen, who ended the war of the gates, established the house of parliment, and brought an end to Sura Pel.
- King Edwyn the Holy - The first king of Estaria who conquered The Lowland Collar from its native Giant population.
- King Gaelin the Bloody - The king of Estaria during The Renewist Upheaval - an infamous figure in Atovist history.
The War of the Gates
Following the Renewist Upheaval and the ousting of King Gaelin the Bloody in favor of King Saul of Hedgewall, Estaria was plunged into a civil war lasting from 1599 to 1709 SE over control of of Solgrad between the Renewist Atovist royals and the Orthodox Atovist Estarian Regency. This century-long civil war was known as the War of the Gates and it ended with the public assassination of King Martin the Idle of Solgrad followed by a coup that put the Orthodox faction back into power, reunified Estaria and dissolved the regency.Territory Name:
