Kazus Wastes

A frozen tundra that is almost entirely unexplored by anyone due tot he harsh climate. The Wastes extend hundreds of leagues to the north, possibly more and are utterly inhospitable.

Geography

North of the Frost Mountains the land gives way to massive plains of ice and snow broken only occasionally by a frozen plateau or massive mountains raising higher than the eye can see up into the cloud cover. There are no rivers that are known, and they'd be frozen anyway. Nor is there any known places for ships to make harbor, for where the coastline is no sheer cliffs skyrocketing hundred to thousands of feet into the air, the water around the shoreline has frozen into huge impassible icebergs.

Fauna & Flora

  • Plant Life
Plants are virtually non-existent north of the Frost Mountains. If any do exist, they surely must be magical in nature and remain yet undiscovered by any of the brave explorers who have attempted to map the region.

Animals

Very few mundane animals call the tundra their home and those that do tend to stick close to the mountains or the shoreline in order to find game and other life sustaining resources. Deep in the heart of the tundra only the harshest and nastiest of monsters and magical creatures dwell.

Natural Resources

Aside from an abundance of ice and snow the only natural resources known to the region are rich veins of precious metals and raw ores located in the heart of the mountains in the region. Many Dwarven expeditions have attempted to establish some of these maddening mountains as their home and claims their resources for themselves.   All have failed.
