The Dreadsea
Sailors know the Dreadsea as a place of harsh seas, storms and sea monsters, and rightly fear its waters. Only the bravest or most foolhardy of explorers dare to brave these waters, and most do not return. The only person known to have traveled north beyond the Dreadsea and return was the Hylanda captain Ismiralda Farsails, who made the journey nearly fifteen years ago and brought with her strange treasures and tales of strange civilizations with even stranger inhabitants that resembled more monster than man. Two years later, using the wealth she obtained from her first venture, she outfitted a new vessel and set sail once again, hoping to go even farther than she did before. She has not returned since.
