Oldwayne (Old-Vain)
The town of Oldwayne is one of the original settlements of The Great Dale, founded nearly half a century previously by settlers from Styr and the Borderlands. It is located among misty dells and dark, verdant forests, and is well-known for the rich and luxurious furs produced by its many hunters, its high-quality and abundant lumber, and minerals mined from nearby mountains. The people here are suspicious of outsiders, having suffered often at the hands of bandits seeking to exploit them, and their unwelcoming nature has given the town a somewhat unpleasant reputation.
The town has been ruled nearly since it's inception by Boyar Ivarn Stephanyr, a reclusive but cunning leader who has kept the town together for many years through its many troubles. It is protected by a militia group known as the Huntsmen, skilled trackers and hunters said to be some of the best archers in all The Wild Coast.
