Fire Giant Species in The Realm of Beardsgaard | World Anvil

Fire Giant

Fire Elementals like things hot, Giants tend to like it cold, so the creation of Fire Giants happened gradually. Before the Wall of Winds, when giants roamed the Realm, some giants came to live in dwarven lands, much valued for their strength even among the strong dwarves.    Dwarves and Humans have long worked closely, so some giants made their way south into Midgard, the less reputable of them down to the border of Muspelheim where human barbarians and Fire Elementals dwell. There it is surmised that the first Fire Giant came from Fire God and Giant parents.   Because Fire Giants tend to run hot, you will find them almost exclusively in Muspelheim and the hot sandy kingdom of Asgard.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

Fire Giant age stages take after whichever culture they are raised in, but all things being equal, they lean toward their elven side in this regard. They reach full size around 20 years of age, but are still considered in their youth until the age of 50, at 250 they are usually done with their procreation years, and are considered an elder at 500 years old and beyond.
Legacy Beings take on traits of each of their parent species. A single Fire Elemental far back in a long line of Giants will make for a present day Fire Giant with mostly Giant characteristics. That Fire Giant individual, however, would have had to have a Vanir or God in their family tree somewhere, as they are the only humanoid beings that can directly physically interact with an Elemental, much less procreate with them.   Choose which of your parent species you take after more, then take the Stats and Prime Traits of that parent species, and the Legacy Trait of the other parent species.
