Firefolk Species in The Realm of Beardsgaard | World Anvil

Firefolk

Firefolk aren't always outwardly fiery, many can pass as fairly normal, if magnetic Humans when they wish to. If they have a strong or recent Fire Elemental lineage, you may find them in Muspelheim, but just as often you can find them blending in in Midgard, or providing their own heat in the chillier northern elven lands.   Whether they wield magic as a vocation of its own or live simpler lives of baking or smelting, their innate magic is usually a part of their daily lives.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

Firefolk age stages take after whichever culture they are raised in, but all things being equal, they lean toward their Human side in this regard. They are considered fully grown if not fully mature adults at 16 years of age (some may grow and fill in a touch more in the next few years), at 60 they are usually done with their procreation years, and are considered an elder at 100 years old and beyond.
Legacy Beings take on traits of each of their parent species. A single Fire Elemental far back in a long line of Humans will make for a present day Firefolk with mostly Human characteristics. That Firefolk individual, however, would have had to have a Vanir or God in their family tree somewhere, as they are the only humanoid beings that can directly physically interact with an Elemental, much less procreate with them.   Choose which of your parent species you take after more, then take the Stats and Prime Traits of that parent species, and the Legacy Trait of the other parent species.
