It made no sense. None whatsoever. But then again, very little about Ycalla made sense. A giant creature that could turn invisible, that could move on land without legs, that could peel open its skin to reveal a large hollow space inside...   Again, Calyrra's fingers brushed over the inner wall. By her eyes alone, it was hard to tell that it was there at all. A merry trill resonated through the chamber, and the stars spun around them as Ycalla went for another loop. The stars. By Saphéne, the stars! Far away, and yet they were closer than ever before.   A silly giggle escaped her as she pushed her feet off the floor (or was it the ceiling, she couldn't really tell anymore) and performed an effortless backflip. Weightless. Floating through the air like she was swimming under water. ... No, not really. This was far better than swimming.   Calyrra spread her fins to stop the momentum before turning back towards her homeworld. It felt so surreal. Yes, she had seen enough model globes in her life, but this? Actually seeing the oceans shimmer through the marbling clouds, seeing the entire landmass of Gysuphun with her own eyes? This was magical. To say nothing of the vast, sparkly blackness all around them, or the brilliant, swirling colors of the Kaleidoscope burning through the dark. Crisp and clear, unfiltered, unobstructed.   "Oh Saphéne", she whispered, "if this is a dream, don't let me wake up. Not yet."
