The Feudal world of Uthra

Though limited in the technology, Uthra provides a lot of melee weapons and warm weather equipment to local Astra Militarum regiments in the region, as well as producing effective aggressive combat troopers to fight the enemies of the God Emperor.   Also local beasts on this planet hides can be cured and tanned to make effective armour.   Name: Uthre or Uthra depending on local dialect.   Planetary Capital: Harhal   Population: ~500 million imperial citizens, unknown number of orks and chaos mutants, estimated to being very large.   Gravity: 1g

Geography

Uthre is a dangerous tidally locked planet while the landmasses on both sides of planet is stable enough for habitation the ring where the light and dark side of the world meet is completely uninhabitable to any life more complex then extremely hardy microorganisms due to extreme geological activity forming a ring of boiling sea and volcanic mountains, this deadly ring of thunder and fire keeps the two sides relatively separated with only a few places being “permanently” stable enough that “safe” crossing is possible for generations at a time and often only remain closed for a relativity short time before they open up again for few more generations but these are not the only places to cross as many short lived safe passages crop up and disappear all the time, some times that last for a few hours and it is hectic race to get through before you drown in lava flows or other hazards while the longest lived can be stable for a few decades before disappear for centuries or even millennia at a time.   There are 7 continent on the world, 6 stable and the Ring of Thunder, 5 of which are on the light side with the largest being centred on the point closes to the sun and is called The Realm of Eternal Summer, which contains the planets political heart, Harhal.  This is also where the planet's only space port is located.  A large open plain of burnt grass were all shuttles land too offload and take on supplies.  The remaining smaller continents are surround the larger beast like a small shoal of fish circling a whale.   The dark side or the Deadlands which it is called by the natives is a super continent.  Large fields of high black grass gives to thick layers of snow and ice as you move away from the Ring of Thunder, this harsh continent lies quiet and still for half the year, contently sleeping in the permanent night but in the other half it is wracked violent seismic activity, meteorite strikes and large quantities of warp radiation however a large section of its heartlands remain stable all year round.   The 7 continents Uthra is: (Low Gothic/Tungumál) The Deadlands/Dauðalönd The super continent on the darkside.   The Ring of Thunder/Þrumuhringurinn The unstable ring of volcanic eruptions and violent weather that separates the light and dark side of Uthra.   The Realm of Eternal Summer/Alltafsumar The massive continent at the centre of the light side and seat of religious and political power on Uthra.   The people of Alltafsumar are considered the most well learned on Uthra but are also considered softest by clans from the outer continents however they are no more soft nor less warlike then their brothers and sisters on the other continents as they face constant internal wars and raids.   The outer continents have all similar ecological biome.  The days are short and the continents are nearly constantly bathed in permanent dusk and dawn.  The people of the conitnents are well known for their raids on their neighbouring continents as well as internal clan based strife. Their names are:   The West Home/Vesturheim   The East Home/Austurheim   The North Home/Norðurheim   The South Home/Suðurheim

Ecosystem

The worlds two major ecology zones.   the light side is a very stable forest covered realm of eternal day and the other being an stable frozen hellscape of jagged ice and frozen seas in the “summer” months and in the other half of the year it is lashed by energy storms, seismic activity and falling meteorites making it essentially uninhabitable with the exception for the only truly stable ground that can be found at the inner heartlands of the super continent that dominate the dark side, also know as the Deadlands.   This however does not mean that the light side is a paradise by a long margin it is just that the environment is lot less hostile to complex life but there as a result plenty of threats to be found, such as the numerous feral mutant and abhuman tribes and deadly native fauna that stalks the vast wilderness and oceans between the 5 continents, thankfully the flora is harmless but for a few thousand species of toxic plants of whom most are simply poisonous though a fair few can kill you by simply touching you, it is very close Terra's ancient green past in terms of ecology since it had terraformed by humans sometime in its ancient past with many if not all of the flora and fauna can trace their ancestry back to species that once roamed the long gone wilds of Terra, including descendants of real Terran wolves and other species that once inhabited Terra though over thousands of years on an alien world they are greatly changed from their ancient ancestors, like that of the Acid Dragon that are believed to be descendant of a Tegu species, most likely the Argentine Black and White Tegu considering its intelligence, ability thermo regulate, coloration and big jowls.   The dark side also has a surprising amount of extremely hardy hard cold weather adapted fauna and flora though a lot less then the light side, these are significantly more dangerous as a rule though no always the case, still the most dangerous creature on the planet can be found in the largest amount here, the Uthre Abyssal Wyrm, its thick scaly hide is tough enough the shrug off even bolter rounds with ease and is able to spew forth large gouts of acid like its smaller legged cousins

Fauna & Flora

The dark side also has a surprising amount of extremely hardy hard cold weather adapted fauna and flora though a lot less then the light side, these are significantly more dangerous as a rule though no always the case, still the most dangerous creature on the planet can be found in the largest amount here, the Uthre Abyssal Wyrm, its thick scaly hide is tough enough the shrug off even bolter rounds with ease and is able to spew forth large gouts of acid like its smaller legged cousins   Their Acid is even more caustic and will burn though any know metal including the even the nearly indestructible Auramite of the Adeptus Custodes's turn to a golden slop if given enough time, on top of it they can reach a length of 20m or 65 ft 7in long from its stocky snout to the tip of its thick serpentine body such a large specimen can weight up to 12 tons.   The Abyssal Wyrm is not completely invulnerable as imperial anti-tank weapons can punch a hole in its thick armored hide however the natives that face the creature does not have access to such weapons however the creature is still vulnerable in a few places, these being the inside of its mouth, eyes and cloaca, the last being a bit unreasonably difficult to reach.   It is not the largest creature on the world as there is the Uthre Leviathans, whale like creatures that can weight up to 115 tons but it is considered the most dangerous it is also one of a few creatures that can be found crossing the Ring of Thunder however it is rarely ever encounter on the day side because it feeds the dark depths of the oceans and only come up the breath however a boat or two every now and again are attacked by an Abyssal Wyrm and every fewer are able to drive the beast back long enough to escape.   Its exceptionally rare every now and again can they be found washed up dead, most likely from battles with other Abyssal Wyrms or the massive whale like Uthre Leviathans another common cause is simply old age though they live for a very, very long time they are not ageless.   Still fauna on both sides of the planet is not only highly priced by the native Clans for their ferociousness but for their hides and scales that can not only be fashioned into soft and warm clothing but into armor that are on par to Imperial Guard flak armor though the armor worn by the elites and nobles are on par with quality carapace armor by combining hides of the local fauna, high quality steel and the rare metallurgy defying metal found on the world, the Uthre Star Metal.

Natural Resources

The planet has access to a rare type of metal that is easily folded and forged into blades of incredible sharpness.  It is these plus Imperial Regiments that make up the planet tithes.

Tourism

There is little tourism to this planet in expectation for trade.  Warriors travel to the planet for the acquisition the incredible blades that they create.  These blades are then take to Mechanicus planets to be fitted as power weapons.
