The Gulf of Zuros

At the fringes of the Ultima Segmentum, stands the Gulf of Zuros. It acts as important transit hub to the galactic East. The Imperium rule over this system with an iron grip, their chief watchers, The shadowy Ordos of the Inquisition.
The Gulf was located after the ending of a huge warp storms that had rampaged for several millennia. in 352.M41 the warp storms blew out and the Gulf was exposed. Rogue Traders swarmed to the Gulf hunting through planets thought had been untouched for millennia. Quickly the earliest found planets were colonised and the Imperium moved in taken command of the region.
The vast quantity of the gulf remains undiscovered and parts of it remains realms of Xenos Empires, ancient human civilisations and things of fouler enemies.

Geography

The gulf is a sector filled with smaller planets and systems dotted across it's body.  Only a few have been brought into the light of the God Emperor's Imperium.  Still dozens maybe hundred more worlds are out there ripe for the taking.
New Xenos races have been encountered by the exploring Rogue Traders and intelligence reports informed that Eldar and Tau has been slowly expanding into the sectors.
At the moment according to Mechanicum research fleets and daring Rogue Traders, over 70 planets have been marked and identified within the Gulf.
Several smaller warp storms can still be found in the area.
There is one major webway gateway hidden deep within one of the stellar nebulas inside the Gulf.

The Gulf was untouched by the Great Crusade, an empty rich area of space full of endless potential.
As the system was populated, the Ordo decided into establish a based of operation in the area to allow them to observe the growing Imperial presence while conbating the great enemies of the Imperium from the shadows and in the light.
Dozens of Inquisitors can be found in the The Eternal Vigil Station  and from their they investigate the Gulf.  Acolytes in their employment hunt for new agents to be used by the Inquisitors.
