The Pledge

Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?

I want to finish the 1.0 - Introduction adventure arch so I can start DMing in my world. Lately I feel like I've gotten 'lost' in general world building. Adventure April started the plot, now I want Summer Camp to act as a focus around that area and adventure.  

What world are you working on?

Bennoria. A world I started for World Ember 2020 to use as my first homebrew D&D5e setting which consists of 5 large islands that are relatively close together. Lots of magic, religion, and moral delimas.  

Which area of the world(s) are you working on?

The Shiris Island is where the first part of the campaign will take place so I want to focus on fleshing out that area, specifically the Ivywood Village area.  

How much are you aiming to complete?

My goal is to at least get the Copper badge (10 prompts). If I get more all the better, but I don't want to push myself like I did during World Ember. I will also be road tripping the first two weeks of july and might not have very robust internet access. My hope is to grab the prompts to work on my laptop offline. When I return from my trip I'll be able to post anything I wasn't able to put up on my World Anvil site.  

When will you write?

I dedicate every weekday morning from 8-9am to my Twitch Writing stream focused on Worldbuildling Bennoria. Many times I will go until 10 during the summers but that's only if I don't have 'mom' stuff to take care of. If I can get more writing in later in the day that will be a bonus but not something I want to burn out on.   The first two weeks of July will cover a road trip I'm taking to visit family for the first time in 3 years. This will interrupt my normal writing times. Thankfully I have a laptop I can take with me and each night I will set aside at least an hour to writing, even if it's only offline. Once I have a stable internet connection I'll then be able to transpose everything to my World Anvil account.  

Who is your support network?

First and foremost is my husband Erroch. He's supported me every step of my journey and is excited to see something of mine come to fruition. Secondly is my daughter, The Sapling. Many may know of her from her 'stream bombing' my channel and our occassional gaming streams. Being a good role model is the biggest joy of my life and showing her how to be productivly creative has been amazing. With any luck I'll get her on World Anvil and start making her own world. Thanks to for his awesome suggestion!   Next comes the Anvilite Streaming Corps and my Twitch stream viewers! Both have been so supportive and I have them to thank for their encouragement each weekday morning. I honestly might have given up by now if they were not there constantly cheering me on.
