Ivory Talons, Chapter 2: Slippery as Ice!
Greetings True Believers!
... and Welcome Back!
Catching anyone up that missed out last time, our heroes - the Knights Vigilant - were cleaning up a gang war between the Disco Boys and the Bishie Boys when there was a call for help! In fact, it was a message from their old friend and occasional mentor, Apothecary Fu! The message was brought to them by way of his niece, Louyang Fu! Her uncle was busy helping locals hurt by gang fighting in Chinatown and just south of there.
The culprits? The nefarious crime syndicate known as the Golden Lotus!
But! When our heroes arrived at the Manhattan Mini Storage and confronted the Golden Lotus, they found more than advertised, True Believers! There was the Golden Lotus! Hammer Empire! Then ... in the midst of dealing with what appeared both groups committing a heist ... enter the CLOCK KING with a set of mysterious acrobatic associates!
And, to be fair, it was high time for a twist anyway...
The battle sprawled across the first and second floor of the mini storage. In the end, the Knights Vigilant brought the Hammer Empire and their WarWolves to heel, then packaged up the Golden Lotus straight away! However, the Clock King? He escaped along with crates of a glowing mysterious powder the Golden Lotus calls the "Crystal Vine". Could this be the secret source of their meta-power tattoos?
Before our heroes could answer that question, a visitor pulled up to the front of the mini storage. It was none other than the infamous Gotham City Rogue, Dr. Victor Fries, otherwise known as "Mr Freeze"! He quickly got to the point: The Clock King has stolen medical equipment vital to his ongoing research to cure his wife, Nora, who is in cryosleep. The good doctor knows the Clock King is in New York and enlisted the Knights Vigilant to help him track the dastardly criminal down, double time!
Naturally, our heroes said 'yes'! So now, True Believers, it looks like we've got ourselves a proper Team Up! With Victor's information, the Knights Vigilant knows that the Clock King has set up shop in an old factory in Brooklyn. All they have to do is catch the Clock King and his associates before they make their next move ... whatever that might be!
But! Are our heroes already out of time?

Now that the team has quelled the fighting between the Hammer Empire and the Golden Lotus, that leaves the Clock King! So!
Finally...
Just what IS the Clock King's plan? What is he after? The man isn't just a garden variety thief. His crimes are based on righting what he thinks is a moral or other kinds of "wrong" ... with a clock theme of course!
Hooks
The team heads to a factory in Brooklyn, owned by Canidae Technologies. The factory was a remanufacturing plant for industrial equipment. Its particular specialty was in refurbishing engine parts for heavy machineries, such as timing belts. It's here that Dr. Fries is sure that the Clock King has set up a temporary base of operations, based on a tracker in the stolen medical equipment!
Returning the equipment helps Dr. Fries continue his research to cure and revive his wife. In addition, helping Dr. Fries will also put the Clock King's plans on ice!

The Disco Boys! - long time rivals to the Knights Vigilant, they try never to pass up a chance to harass our heroes. Yet, this time they doing so by request of the nefarious Science Court who has a grudge to bear against the heroes as well!
The Hammer Empire who are the silent partners in Canidae Technologies! They want to know who's interfering in their investment and then ... drop the Hammer on them!
