Barovian History

The year of the Neureni Horde invasion.

The attack lead by Rahadin on behalf of Barov von Zarovich that killed many Dusk Elves and almost all of their royal family expect for Patrina Duskwalker and Kasimir Velikov.

A series of assassinations between the Dilisnya Family, Katsky Family, and Petrovna Family that began with the assassination of the Dilisnya matriarch and ended when Count Barov von Zarovich ordered it ended.

The birth of the youngest von Zarovich brother, Sergei.

Construction of Castle Ravenloft is completed and the surviving von Zarovichs move in.

Most High Priest Kir uses his life energy to create the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind. Sergei von Zarovich takes his place at the head of the The Church of Andral.

Sometime in this year, Vistani appear in Barovia for the first time. Madame Eva makes a pact with Strahd von Zarovich allowing her people to move through his land without fear of attack by him.

Azalin Rex arrives in Barovia and allies himself with it's ruler, Strahd von Zarovich.

A series of skirmishes along Barovia's border. They end after agents of Strahd von Zarovich kill major leaders of the Kargat, crippling the organization.

This is when the party is first active in Barovia and is causing the issues they cause.
