Krezk
Outwardly the calmest section of Barovia, Krezk was balanced on the edge of a knife. In the course of a week, the entire area was sent into chaos with those able to fleeing to Argynvostholt for shelter. All that remains is the ruins of a few ruined houses (now housing the surviving Mongrelfolk) and the abbey grounds, housing the Abbot.
During the day, when the sun hits the houses just right, all of the "holy symbols" fashioned by the new residents sparkle in the sunlight. Believing mirrors to be a secret weakness of vampires, the mongrelfolk used the town forge to make mirrored versions of the Morninglord's holy symbol out of the glass and silver they found around town. While they haven't been tested, the mongrelfolk's honest belief may be enough to bridge the gap.
History
In its time before the Split, Krezk proudly stood as a largely self-contained settlement until the day of the Split. The Abbot learned of the death of Ilya Krezkov that day and raised the boy from the dead. In pursuit of payment, Anna Krezkov is killed on the road and an irate Abbot sends the mongrelfolk under his control to attack the townsfolk until all are dead or escaped.
