Grand Ymmarion
Grand Ymmarion is the second known continent of the Malatorian Homeworld. Its lies a two months journey across the Sea of Dragon Tears from the eastern edge of Continental Malatoria.
Grand Ymmarion is distinguished by three main bodies of land:
West Ymmaria - the home to bestial races and citadels of evil humanoids;
connected by a narrow isthmus to:
East Ymmaria - the home to "civilized" races of men, dwarves, elves, and the like;
who frequently trade with:
The Ymmari Islands - A vast island chain consisting of larger and medium sized islands that are the home to a vast number of humanoids and monsters.
One other notable aspect is the presence of the second moon of Malatoria. In addition to the rotating moon of Geon, observable from both sides of the planet, Grand Ymmarion's inhabitants can see Piigon, a smaller red moon that hangs in geosynchronous orbit over the continent.
Ecosystem Cycles
Grand Ymmarion rests south of the Malatorian equator, meaning that the seasonal calendar and climates associated with the cardinal directions are the opposite of continental Malatoria. Summer in continental Malatoria is winter in Grand Ymmarion; the northern climes of Grand Ymmarion are warm and tropical - as opposed to the frozen northern wastes of Continental Malatoria, and so forth.
