Boundless Steppes

A vast plain that stretches northeast to southwest in East Ymmarion, the Boundless Steppe is nearly 1200 miles long from end to end. It is home to a number of creatures both friendly and fearsome. The lack of major rivers has kept humans from expanding within and populating the Steppe, a fact that a number of other demi-humans and humanoid races have taken advantage of. The Steppe also features a network of old Ymmari ruins, watchtowers, and keeps. Those structures that are still extant have long since been reappropriated by other groups.

Geography

The Boundless Steppe is largely flat with some gentle rolling hills and occasional bluffs.

Fauna & Flora

A number of different creatures make their home in the Boundless Steppe, from herd animals, and beasts of prey to larger humanoids and monsters.

History

After East and West Ymmarion were effectively cut off from each other during the end of the age known as "The Clash of Scions", a number of humanoid and bestial refugees from West Ymmarion found their way into the Boundless Steppes. Since that time, a number of these groups have created permanent homes on the plains, or in the earth beneath them.
