Ysfor

Ysfor is a rocky island, often buffeted by storms, in the southern Auroric Ocean. It is the home of the Mysati people.

Geography

Ysfor is largely comprised of rocky bluffs, and low rising hills. It has one major inlet, the Bay of Squalls, known as Kynnyntama (the Harbour of Thundering Waves) by the Mysati tribe.

Fauna & Flora

The soil on the island of Ysfor makes agriculture difficult, though not impossible. Due to its colder climate, the few trees that do grow are coniferous in nature. Game is scarce on the land in Ysfor except during the winter months, when the eastern coastline becomes home to migratory seals. Along the western edge of the island osprey make their nest in the crags above the ocean, and can often be seen flocking and diving into the abundant waters below. Fish, mollusks, and sea dwelling mammals of all sorts are plentiful off the coast, although so are dangerous sea creatures, so great care is taken when venturing onto the ocean to hunt.
