Geon

Geon is the moon that orbits the Malatorian homeworld. Much like Earth's moon, it completes its cycle every month, from a barely visible "New" phase to a robust "Full" phase.
Geon experiences solar eclipses during the day every 1 to 4 years and nighttime lunar eclipses with the same frequency.
Every 2-5 years Geon's orbit crosses with Piigon in an eclipse known as a Lunar Convergence.  This conjunction of heavenly bodies does not include the Sun and vary between nighttime and daytime.
Once every 18-25 years Geon and Piigon's orbits converge to eclipse the sun in a Grand Celestial Convergence.
