Pillars of Winter

The Pillars of Winter are a mountain range that run roughly east to west and serve as a natural boundary between East Ymmarion and the southern lands of Tundrym.
Some of the highest peaks in all of Grand Ymmarion can be found in this mountain range which also holds a number of valleys, rivers, and evergreen forests.

Geography

In addition to the high mountains and deep wooded valleys, a number of river tributaries originate in the snow capped peaks, eventually combining to form the Doomwater River.

Fauna & Flora

A great variety of plants, animals, and monsters can be found within this mountain range.  Because of its naturally cold climate most trees tend toward the coniferous order, with vast stretches of evergreens and yews.  
A number of humanoids species also make their home in the Pillars of Winter, including the Cronavken Goliath Herd.
