Birk is a small city at the Yarcola river. It's part of the Meisian Empire and ruled by the Protector of the West. It is a popular stopping point for trading vessels coming from the Silver Lake and heading to Dracari or further east.
Birk is known for its two big festivals during the summer and winter solstice. The Festival of Dawn, is dedicated to Yana and Tria, and celebrates the duality between day and night. It's a tradition going back thausands of years, and brings in countless visitors every year.
