Human

In the Shattered Realms, humanity is the chosen people of the Divine, the singular god worshiped across Logos. Through humans, the Divine manifests the Aasimar, prophets imbued with a holy presence who share divine teachings not just among humans, but to all species.

The Favor of the Divine

Humanity has become powerful and populous compared to the other species of the world. Human influence extends across most ruling kingdoms of Logos, where they often serve as leaders or hold key positions in government.

Adaptability and Innovation

While humans lack the claws, strength, or innate magical gifts found in other species, they are favored with versatility and resourcefulness. This reliance on Divine provision has led to a wide variety of skills and professions, making humans adaptable in almost any field, from craftsmanship to clerical work. This adaptability is a defining feature of their culture, allowing them to flourish and innovate without natural advantages.

The Fall to Gianthood

However, some humans turn away from their faith, forsaking the Divine for worldly pleasures and pursuits of the flesh. As such, these humans were transformed in the flesh, growing monstrous until they become giants—faithless beings who reject the Divine and mock all forms of reverence. Giants scorn humanity’s spirituality and go so far as to create blasphemous shrines in derision of the Divine. Many giants kidnap human children, raising them without faith to produce more of their kind, further deepening their separation from the Divine.
