House Dastrin
House Dastrin is the premier alchemical house in the Snowcloak Dominion, based in the port city of Graepor. While others hoard land or ships, Dastrin hoards formulas—elixirs of strength, tonics of resilience, and smoke bombs that leave foes gasping. Their products supply soldiers, merchants, and even nobles, and their shops can be found in most major cities of the Dominion.
Structure
- Matron Belitha Dastrin (Head of House) – A recluse in her own manor, Belitha rarely speaks but is wholly aware of every experiment and deal her house makes. Her skin is slightly discolored—some say from prolonged exposure to dangerous reagents—and her gaze is said to pierce lies as if reading chemical reactions.
- Korren Dastrin (Face of the House) – Charismatic and sharp, Korren handles political and business negotiations. Though pleasant in court, he is known to keep vials strapped to his chest beneath his robes, just in case words fail.
- Pravun Dastrin (Experimentalist) – A controversial figure within the house, Pravun leads forbidden experiments and is obsessed with Plasmoid biology. He claims to be working on the elixir of immortality. Whether he works with permission—or in secret—no one is quite sure.
- Silka Dastrin (Disavowed cousin) – Once caught selling poisons to pirates in Graepor, Silka was publicly disowned… yet some believe she still operates under the house’s silent blessing as part of its black-market operations.
Public Agenda
House Dastrin values innovation, secrecy, and utility over morality. They do not speak in theory—they speak in effects, doses, and results. Their private compound in Graepor is equal parts greenhouse, lab, and fortress, where mist rolls off boiling flasks and the air smells of copper and honeysuckle.
