Hellstrom Governy (Hael-struum)

The Hellstrom governy is the active government in Eldurgrundand has been for 80 years. Although Eldurgrund performs a moot in order to decide the next ruler, the successor is usually a descendant of the currently active one, particularly as most of the current nobility agree with the Hellstrom policy of better integrating with the Augury.
While the different rulers themselves have ranged from sadistic to benevolent, they have all shared the policy of focusing on internal conflict while getting on the empire's good side (as all past rebellions have led to the razing of fields and loss of soldiers). Whether it's purely a new sense of global community and cooperation or realizing they lack the strength to take on the Augury is up for debate, though.
The most recent Governor, Gunderr Hellstrom, has focused on relaxing the brutal policies of his predecessors, attempting to give Euvurcrest itself enough allure to make it the "most successful city, and grandest wonder across Laminarum." His hopes were that by making the location accessible to all, new ideas would come in and bring about a social and scientific awakening that would bring back Eldurgrund pride- one that anyone could spread.
Culture
The organization reflects the ideals they wish to see in their people. They value Muren above all other gods, but recognize the overarching authority of the Ohfjuren, as all Augury territories must. They believe Eldurgrund to be a divine right, bestowed upon all that live in its land. With the binding of the dwarves allowed by the family, they also wish to bring about a series of ideals by valuing Muren, the Dwarvish Pantheon, and the Ohfjuren.
A unique feature to their ideology is their strict rejection of Ohdaufehl reverence, as they view humans as the perfect servants of the gods.
