Heisel Family (hay-sell)
The Heisel family lives in the small settlement of Urrlógun on the Fingerless Gulf. They are known to be big game hunters, but most game has faded ever since the Urrfolk left the island that they originally prowled on. Their position for trade is all that garners them fame, but they themselves have little to offer aside from herbivore pelts, lyslure sap, and honey made from the flowers of lyslure trees (which is exceptionally expensive). Otherwise, the family can provide any passerby with tales of their taming of nature, be it beasts or the seas themselves.
Unlike most lordships, the Heisel's have no servants and their keep is little more than a cabin. They are known to take part in the day to day social life of any travelers or citizens within their walls, garnering them a level of disrespect from the other lords. This hardly bothers the family though, as their little town is a powerful force to be reckoned with. Each citizen and guard is well versed in the way of the hunt, and even the royalty in the city are known to do their own hard labor (and they pride themselves on it). Due to how much blue collar work, hunting, and combat they do themselves, they were able to dispatch the Oscurwood Company delegates that arrived in the city, hoping to strong arm the town into allowing their mercenary work.
History
The family's claim to fame was the creation of their town in the early stages of the war against Shellbay and Eldurgrund. When this town was first formed, it was little more than a hunting lounge. The family's real source of income and point of recognition was their hunting of Urrfolk pelts and the scouring of the island that they originated on (just south of the lounge).
The family was left alone during the war but was appointed to lordship by the government of Eldurgrund, as the baron's nephew during the start of the conflict took an interest in hunting the Urrfolk of the island. While the family never saw the war, the head of the family would be made an honorary Eldur Knight after saving the baron's nephew from a rampant troll on the island, and the firemagic sword is still owned by the family to this day. Although hunting on the island has been shut down, the family still finds plenty of success from trading the hallucinogenic lyslure sap with Caripreet.
