Osman family

The Osman family lives in Eldurfjord, a territory sandwiched between Eldurgrund and Fjordstrond. The family is quite odd, having purchased the territory during a land dispute between the two baronies. The Osmans are known as collectors, above all else. They have icons from religions across the world and some of the rarest books. More impressively, they managed to purchase a weapon of J'barri firemagic from Eldurgrund. The source of their fortune is less than centralized, but there are rumors that have gone around. The man that originally purchased the land, Dinithor Osman, was known for traveling the world, from Urale to the Snow Rock Isles. Some suspect that their fortune is from sticking their hands in the pots of trading across the world.   Their massive wealth has allowed them a more luxurious lifestyle than even most lords can have. Their guard is entirely private (including both J'barri and elves) and they have hundreds of servants in the facility. If one wishes to find a luxury, the Osman home of Eldurfjord is the place to find it. Currently, the oldest daughter (Hathor Osman) of the lord is betrothed to Gunderr Hellstrom, which has allowed the family a comfortable position within the governy.   Some have put the family to question for their religious beliefs. While they claim to accept the Ohfjuren as the authority over all things, some claim that the family are godless heathens, treating idols as nothing more than fancy baubles to collect. Regardless, there is little to investigate, given a family with a litany of idols in their home (including the Ofhjuren themselves) likely worships them. Alas, hoarding is not a crime.

History

Little is known about how the Osman's came about their wealth, and their political motives are obscure (given their tendency to revel in luxury rather than play in politics). Most recently, they desired to recover strange artifacts from Taktaalak's underwater ruins, which the governy gladly paid for as a gift to Hathor Osman.
