Hestafulk Family
The Hestafulk family oversees Vastplain castle, south of the Eldursteries. Luckily for the Hestafulks, they are distant relatives of the Turases, which is their only claim to fame. The family was instated as lords after the Eldurgrund rebellion against the Augury was crushed by the Saltkrigere. The family had already lived in Eldurgrund during the rebellion, but did nothing against the Augury.
History
Nostula Turases, who led the defense against Eldurgrund, demanded that the green augurs instate the Hestafulk family as lords in Eldurgrund, which was unheard of at the time. Nostula's argument swayed the new augurs and the Hestafulks were forcefully given land that was previously intended for the The Eldursteries. Many claim that due to familial relations, the Hestafulks aren't loyal to their own barony, but they have grown so distant from their heritage that the claims are not but paranoia by now.
Throughout their lordship, the family has mostly been the victims of their own mistakes. Perhaps not fit to rule when they were first instated, they were initially faced with one blunder after another. It was when their first lord, Einar Hestafulk, attempted to take land from Urrlógun that they were forced into submission by Eldurgrund. Perhaps worse, Nostula began to distance the Turases from his relatives.
