The Mad Butcher Doc Razor (a.k.a. Saw)
Did you see that Coar?! Magnificent! Quick quick, put it in here! I must know how long the liver can last without the body.Doc Razor was the most notorious pirate 'doctor' of recent memory. His methods were considered barbaric and twisted, but he got results. Rumors about him abounded. He's said to have drank the blood of his 'patients', used his own children as experiments, and even cut babies right from their mothers. On top of that many believe he had relations with his Dejuvi captain. Even going so far as to claim he created viebreaker children with her. Many a HavocBreaker swore by his skill, while others dreaded the mere mention of his name. He vanished just before the bug war, some believe he joined the bugs to take part in their sick and twisted chimera experiments.

...and then it exploded! Hahaha! And Saw turns to me and says, flat tone, 'Don't play with your food, Coar.'. Hahaha!Doc Razor worked for Carah Brice for nearly 30 years. In that time he met Coar who ended up being his bodyguard, lab assistant, and test subject. Despite his detached disposition and the boy's pestering nature, the two grew very close. When the Captain died Doc Razor and Ora had a falling out. The Doc vanished and hasn't been seen since.

Ora was shoved into Doc Razor's lab as a 'body guard' so he would stay out of Carah's way. Doc was annoyed by this but answered Ora's mile a minute questions regardless. Eventually Doc made use of him as a test subject and lab assistant. Doc taught Ora many things in this time, including how to read and write. Ora protected Doc, even from the rest of the crew. Overtime the constant interaction and close working conditions turned to fondness and then to affection.

Relationship Reasoning
Ora is the only person who seems to understand Saw and is utterly loyal to him despite all the things Saw has put him through. Saw knows he isn't easy to like and cherishes this one connection hes made, even if it is a bit of a twisted one.

Both were in RazorRose together. Other than that they have very little in common other than speaking their minds, being brutally honest, and disliking the Four Es Corporation.

Carah kidnapped Doc and forced him to work for her, though she gave him a lab, a bodyguard/assistant, and the freedom to do what experiments he wanted for the most part.

Sarah's ship needed a doctor and Doc didn't want to be tossed out of an airlock.
Though the two didn't get along at all, Coar considered them both family, so they eventually did the same.
History
Though he had no interest in doing so, Doc Razor ended up raising Roza for the early years of her life.

Although they are mostly cold toward each other the two got along well when Carah did something to piss one of them off. And enjoy spending time chatting about how horrible she was.
Although Doc was seemingly uncaring parent, Roza always felt he treated her with more respect than he did other people. A fact that made her feel special.
Coar considered them both family, so they eventually did the same.

Emma met Doc Razor when visiting the site of a project she had going. He was one of the many scientists working on it, though the only one who seemed to understand what they were trying to do. Unfortunately he talked down to her and she decided to teach him a lesson on respect. It did not go to plan.

They worked on the same ship together but barely interacted as Doc Razor hardly ever left his lab and Buckeye hardly ever entered it.
Buckeye was not particularly fond of Doc's sarcasm and way of talking down to people. As soon as Ora and Doc had their falling out, Buckeye was the one to take the Doctor's threat of leaving seriously, kicking Doc from the ship.
