The Bori(soldier) project was a semi-secret government project with the goal of creating genetically enhanced soldiers.

History

Though the project didn't officially start until -4 darkwar, the ideas and experiments that comprise it started far earlier. Though this fact is known to very few.

Project VnoiVie

The first iteration of the project was called Project VnoiVie and began in -30 Darkwar on the 25th of Dicdi. It was a 'simple' curiosity for a bored captive medic on board a pirate ship. The experiment utilized the very first prototype of a 'Testegg', now called a Recovery Sanctuary. While the test was a success the 'egg' and the project didn't expand to much more than organ storage.

The Project

It wasn't until -19 Darkwar on the 11th of Zindi that the ideas were picked up again, this time by the Four Es Corporation's Brain Trust. In what was called simply 'The Project'. This series of experiments revolving around the idea of getting reliable, reproducible, beneficiary mutations from Cryolidhium poisoning. The project was cut short by two factors though. One begin the removal of the top scientist from the project due to his bad attitude, and the other being an attack on the facility by a Lordtown syndicate and a group of pirates. The project was never made public and rumors surrounding information about it suggested that kidnapping was involved.

The Bori Project

Both of these projects made the Bori Project a conceivable reality. The research provided in both events became accessible to the Vondren Military in Zindi of -4 darkwar, along with the medical scientist responsible for most advancements in each. Being an ex-pirate and an incredibly hard to work with person in general, they teamed him up with the first graduated psychiatrist who they hoped would handle him as well as the second portion of the project.

The Results

VnoiVie

The first unofficial subject, unceremoniously named 'Test Person', was the result of simple curiosity. The subject had no intentional modifications other than mode of birth. It was born with no complications and lived a relatively healthy and normal life.
Current status
Deceased. It died as an adult due to the involvement of outside forces.
Location
Ciarn

VnoiCiclir

The second unofficial subject, unceremoniously named 'Test72', was the result of several Cryolidhium based tests. It was a Roally that was repeatedly exposed to cryolidhium. It developed several powers, though these were overshadowed by it learning to scream like a Colossi. Its scream wasn't as potent, but it was enough to do some damage.
Current status
Contained. It doesn't scream as long as it's submerged in cryolithium infused liquid.

BoriRee

The first official subject, unceremoniously named 'Soldier1', was enhanced through the means of controlled Cryolidhium poisoning. These enhancements include, but are not limited to: Improved speed, dexterity, strength, and jumping abilities. These were triggered and repressed through training, creating a 'Battle Mode' of sorts.
Current status
Escaped
Location
Vullavual Laud, Currently Unrecoverable

BoriLir

The second official subject, unceremoniously named 'Soldier2', was enhanced through the means of controlled Cryolidhium poisoning. These enhancements include, but are not limited to: Improved speed, dexterity, strength, and stealth, and the ability to generate and manipulate electricity. These were meant to be triggered and repressed through training, creating a 'Battle Mode' of sorts, but the training backfired.
Current status
Escaped
Location
Unknown

ZoaVie

The last unofficial subject, unceremoniously named 'False Person', was an accident. A collection of cybernetic parts, meant as proof of concept for various body parts, connected itself into the shape of a person and began to show signs of intelligence. It's powers are somewhat unknown. A skin was made for it and it underwent a similar training to the Soldier, and was implanted with fake memories of a past it never had.
Current status
Testing

Inventor(s)
Doctor Clarroy under the direction of the Vondren Military and Four Es Corporation.
While it did produce results, only two soldiers were ever made. The time and resources were just not available to make this project a viable strategy for dealing with the bug threat and most victories were attributed to Rovertech.   Despite this setback, the project lead to advancements in genetics and went on to create cures to several genetic diseases that would once ban you from the reproductive registration list.
