Onaribek

Onaribek is the great center region of Northern Stildane, the space between the Kivish North and the Hainish South. This is the land of the Onaren river, the huge chaos-polluted great river that carries life and death alike to the lands of Northern Stildane.
Onaribek is divided between four kingdoms:

• The Kingdom of Gennorholn, a devout Uvaran kingdom that was the original home of Ustav. Pious, feudal, and surly.
• The Kingdom of Verzavek, homeland of the Southern Kivish; paternalistic, commercial, and ambitious.
• The Kingdom of Tugrek, a small feudal kingdom known for its forests, rebels, and waterfalls
• The Kingdom of Kagaren, a fragmented frontier kingdom with great mines, free laws, and frequent monsters

The larger, richer, and more populous are the first two coastal kingdoms; Tugrek and Kagaren, the "Hill Kingdoms", are far poorer and more marginal. Before 1904, all of these kingdoms were ruled by a single puppet-monarchy of Hain (known as the Kingdom of Ustavet), but they have been separate for a century now.
North of Gennorholn is the Empire of Kizen. South of Verzavek are the petty kingdoms of Andrig. East of the Onaribekan kingdoms are the Chaos Wastes
An Uvaran name for Onaribek is Ustavet, or "Origin of Ustav", though that name also has political implications (of rightful ownership by an implied Hain-aligned Kingdom). Onaribek is considered a more neutral name, simply meaning 'Onaren river area'.
