Old Caulstid

  In 444KS an individual by the name of Malrik organised the bandits in Old Caulstid and other criminal factions throughout the holding into an uprising against House Hewlett of Caulstid. With the preceding years of military action in the region and House Hewlett's own rule being in its early stages, neither side had much desire to enter another long conflict, and so Malrik was able to enforce his claims with little difficulty. He demanded that Lord Tylan Hewlett recognise him as a legitimate vassal over Old Caulstid and install him as Mayor, with the knowledge that if Tylan did not quickly acquiesce to his demands, neighbouring House Southbay of Southbay would call their banners and sweep both men aside to install a new Lord over the region.
