Campaign Recap
On Day 22 of the campaign (4 Mirtul), Collateral Damage and their new friend Mystery Sparkle arrived in Leilon. Their first destination was Rayphlárd's home, the House of Razaycrynth.
The front door and windows were closed and boarded up, and sign on the door read "Closed temporarily. Come back later." Rayphlard used his key to open the door to the back office. The group looked around on the main floor, then the upstairs living quarters, but no one was there. He then attempted to open the trap door to the basement, but it was locked, so he let out the secret phrase "Yippee! I'm home!" and knocked. Rayphlard's great aunt Thinshu greeted the group and led them downstairs.
All of Rayphlard's family was crowded in the basement, and they had a long conversation catching up on what Rayphlard had been doing since leaving home to avenge his brother Hurlbárth's death. The rest of the conversation included:
- Aldárth asking about Kremzik Darkchewer and the kobolds at the Brontide Cliffs.
- Ambray asking each member of Collateral Damage about themselves.
- Phlemtock asking Rayphlard if he's been using his woodcarving skills in his new adventuring life.
- Jewel asking if those responsible for Hurlbarth's death (the Redbrand Ruffians) had been brought to justice.
- Klimrock being curious about Tubby and theorizing that Olshirik had something to do with him being created from the Deck of Many Things.
- Bertha telling Rayphlard she went to Phandalin to look for him, but he wasn't there.
Finally, Nárthurl told the group about the tattoo artist Zana making references to the "storm lord." Narthurl explained that after what happened with the Talos worshippers at the Tower of Storms, he was worried enough that he told the town guard. He was then instructed to attend a meeting of the Leilon Town Council on 5 Mirtul, and Narthurl asked Rayphlard and his new friends to join him.
Architecture
The House of Razaycrynth is a two-story building with a basement.
The main entrance leads into a small shop with various jewelry and wood-carved trinkets. The first floor also includes a small restaurant, a window into the kitchen for to-go orders, and office space. Next to the office space are stairways leading up to the second floor where the Light of Razaycrynth live and a hidden trap door leading to the basement. The basement is mostly used for storage, but it also includes a locked room with a teleportation circle linked to the Brontide Caves.
History
In the year 777, most blue dragonborn of the Light of Razaycrynth moved to Leilon, while two stayed in the Brontide Cliffs as caretakers of the Tower of Storms. The family members in Leilon built the House of Razaycrynth to honor their ancestor, the ancient blue dragon Razaycrynth.
The dragonborn opened a business in the building to serve Leilon, which during that time was a small mining town. They sold local seafood, as well as fish and shrimp caught by the kobolds living in the Brontide Caves.
