Emlas
Emlas /'ɛm:la:s/ is the western continent of Gætíus' World and the smallest of the three. It's home to numerous different cultures, the most prominent ones being the empires of Dalra to the east and Sanx to the west.
Geography
Emlas is bordered by (and connected to) Laxilþía via the Nómek Plain to the northeast, Úrtal Sea to the east, Akral Sea and Túlmikkía (via isthmus) to the southeast, Galafam Sea to the south, Senfó Sea to the west and Nixma Sea to the north.
Most of the continent are is a vast steppe to north and northeast, the rest being mostly mountain ranges and woodlands (subtropical to the east, tropical to the south, mixed and coniferous to the west), with the exception of the arid southeastern part, which continues into northwestern Túlmikkía. The main mountain ranges are the Zamra Mountains to the east, Narannax Mountains (the tallest in the world) to the south, Rerp Mountains to the west and Fúra Mountains to the northwest.
