Geography
The Fom Islands are mostly covered in tropical rainforests, safe for the highest mountain peaks. Many of the islands have at least one good natural harbour.
Fauna & Flora
The islands are home to a number of animals, particularly birds, many of which are endemic to a few or even a single island. Notable wildlife includes rabbits, peccaries, pelicans, flamingoes and many species of parrots, lizards and -in the surrounding coral reefs- sea turtles. Domesticated animals commonly found there are cattle, guinea pigs and rails.
The Fom Islands are notable for being almost entirely free of venomous snakes, safe for the southernmost one, which is uninhabited and traditionally visited by hunters and warriors to acquire poison for their arrows.

Natural Resources
Although unsuitable for growing grapes, the Fom Islands are a source of cattle, local light blue and grey varieties of maize (the latter which is often referred to as fomic silver) and black pineapples.
