Gætíus' World

Gætíus' World is a low fantasy world, featuring neither magic nor higher powers, where every culture has elements of at least one Old World iron age society one on hand and Pre-Colombian culture on the other. It started out as a setting for a short story about a gladiator called Gætíus, but has since expanded to the point that the main focus is on the places and peoples of his world instead.   The world is divided into three continents: Emlas (Asia/South-America) to the west, Laxilþía (Europe/Mesoamerica) to the east and north, and Túlmikkía (Africa/North-America) to the south.    The six major powers in Gætíus' World are Resak (Romans/Aztecs) in southwestern Laxilþía; Dalra (Achaemenid Persia/Inca Empire) and Sanx (Ancient China/Chinookan) in eastern and western Emlas, respectively; and Vagalkan (Ancient Egypt/Mississippian Culture), Ænadó (Carthaginians/Muisca) and the Ptivamanaktem Alliance (West-African cultures/Haudenosaunee) in northern, northeastern and southeastern Túlmikkía, respectively.
