Beml Islands

The Beml Island1 are located in northeastern Senfó Sea off the coast of western Emlas, specifically west of Sanx and northwest of Búxó Peninsula.
It's home to the Bemlans, tribal people who've recently become divided over whether they should stick to their traditional hunting and fishing-based culture or adopt agriculture and foreign customs from the mainland.

Geography

The archipelago is made up of seven main islands and numerous smaller ones, the largest being Demmek to the south. The land is quite rugged, heavily forested and has few places naturally suited for agriculture, aside for the southern part of Demmek, so travel between villages is mostly restricted by foot along the coast, or by canoe.
The climate is relatively mild throughout the year, with rain being more common than snowfall except for the northernmost islands.
Earthquakes are fairly common on the islands, which combined with the frequent rains can result in landslides and tidal waves.

Fauna & Flora

Common wildlife found on most of the Beml Islands includes boars, wolves, bears, cranes, stoats, sea lions and sea cows.

1Original icelandic: Bemleyjar.
2Called Demex by the Paróbaxi and Demeix among the Sanxeans.
