The Velx River1 is a major river in Laxilþía and one of the most important in that continent, being home to numerous settlements inhabited predominantly by Pakrans and Rexans, including Arkis, capital of the empire of Resak, along with the cities of Klis, Kralfí and Krelúta.

Geography
The river originates in the western Katark Mountains, from where it flows generally southwards before turning west and finally drains into the Úrtal Sea. The lower Velx River forms the Kalis Swamp, one of the largest of its kind in Laxilþía and heartland of Resak.
