Rexlas is language of the Rexans, ruling ethnicity of the empire of Resak in Laxilþía, and is the native language of nearly half of its population. Most of the inhabitants know at least some rexlas as a second language, as it's used both in the military and law courts.

Writing System

Rexans use an alphabet adapted from the one used by the Jatrilnúxans, who again adopted it from the Pakrans. It's made up of 29 letters, with no punctuation other than dots to seperate words, and unlike most of the writing system used by the people of the Kalis Swamp, it's written left-to-right.

Geographical Distribution

Most rexlas-speakers are found in the western and southern parts of Resak, and are only a minority in the northern provinces of Vóx-Tingrenalx and Eke-Tingrenalx.

Vocabulary

Rexlas has quite a few jatrilic words in it, mostly used in religious and scientific context. Pakric slang has recently become fashionable among aristocratic youth.
