Grove Dragons

Grove Dragons, sometimes called Green Dragons or Forest Dragons, are specialised to dense woodlands and jungles, with a smaller build and wings allowing them to manoeuvre between trees with ease.   Grove Dragons are usually smart and cunning, they are masters of manipulation using misdirection and trickery to get their way. While usually selfish, on rare occasions Grove Dragons can be found as part of druid circles, benefiting from a mutual symbiosis.   Grove Dragons prefer to outsmart their enemies with careful tactics, rather than facing them head on. They are fast and nimble on their feet and while they are exceptionally strong compared to other dragons, they are adept spellcasters, wielding Primal magic to their advantage. If pushed into a corner Grove dragons also have a breath of poisonous gas that wilts everything it comes in contact with.

Appearance:

Grove Dragons are smaller than most other dragons, they have curved horns, long snouts and green coloured scales.   They are quadrupedal Dragons with smaller sized wings that rise from their backs. Grove Dragon bodies are commonly covered in a thick layer of moss or vines and their eyes are a piercing, intelligent, and usually a reptilian yellow or green colour.

Element:

Grove Dragons are not associated with a specific element and are rather intune with the natural world. They can also exhale venom or a cloud of poison as part of a deadly breath attack.

Lair:

Grove Dragons commonly make their lairs in thick forests and jungles, commonly in dense groves or hidden caves.   Grove Dragons horde anything they can get their claws on, from gold and gems to rare tomes.
