Fire Dragons

Fire Dragons, sometimes called Red Dragons, tend to be the most ferocious and vengeful of Dragons. They are exceptionally aggressive and territorial, enjoying any opportunity to unleash their wrath on all that would anger or oppose them.   Fire Dragons are also greedy and exceptionally vain, even for dragons. Many of them see themselves as kings or emperors, viewing all others as inferior, only worthy to kneel at their feet.   Fire Dragons are well rounded combatants, with a powerful build, great aerial mobility, and a devastating fire breath which only fuels their arrogance. Red Dragons have no need for plans or strategies, relying solely on their natural abilities to take down their foes.

Appearance:

Fire Dragons can be recognised by their distinct red scale colouring, swept-back horns and spinal frill. Some older Fire Dragons even glow with a dull flame, sometimes leaking magma from between their scales. They are slim and powerful quadrupedal Dragons with large wings that rise from their backs.    Fire Dragons are commonly associated with the odour of sulphur and pumice as they vent smoke from their beaked snout at all times. They have piercing eyes of molten flame.

Element:

Fire Dragons are associated with the element of fire which they can exhale as a deadly breath attack.

Lair:

Fire Dragons make their lairs in high mountain caves or in the calderas of volcanoes. They are known for collecting vast wealth, coveting anything of monetary value, from gold to magical weapons.
