setercha is the most wealthy state within The twin sultanates of Castilian and Abria. there army is know for its fast pace warfare. ruled by a prince since it conquest it has remaind loyal to the twin sultanate ever since.
Structure
the ruler is the sultan but the head of House of Mentanavic rules the land. the current head is Milan 2nd prince of Setercha regent of the two crowns under him there are several smaller lords. one being the current countess of likij countess Lizabeth who controls the north the northern frontier the land of the house of vampires having always faced invasion from the frontier kingdom

the great fortress on the river syren protects the north eastern flank. it is a massive castle with two towers built one on either side of the river. it was built during the medieval time by house Sevrem who became very powerful within the empire and loyal allies of the prince.
the painted court was made shortly after the silent war. it is known for hiring some of the most beautiful women in the knwon world.
History
settling the lands of setercha-Before even the great migration the some Slav tribes sailed across the northern sea of the southern continent some 7000YBCW during the exoduses of the 12 archons. 4 of these archons where slavs including archon sergi Milos know as sergi the sailor and mentan 7th know as mentan the monster for his massive size. These tribes small settled mainly in the center of the continent the largest tribe were the seterch and the settled In farm land. these tribes however started fighting and forming there own mini kingdoms disrupting elven trade across the land. so an elven army march against the slav archons which resulted in the mythic victory at Battle of the 8 thunders. this saw the milos tribe go west after the battle and the remaining three tribes turned to clans and they started fighting once again.
the age of a thousand kingdoms to the reign of the outlaw king-the era know as the age of a thousand kingdoms was chronicled by the elves but it is not real true as there where certainly not that meany kings at that time and the title king was not one of early slav, lostian and Castilian nations. Emperitor was the title in lostia. the title prince and lord where the titles in Castilian but in the slav land the title archon or high archon was the title used for those who ruled over the slavs. the most powerful of the early seterchan slavs where the mentan clan which would later go on to be House of Mentanavic. for the best part of 2000 years the slav clans and petty rulers are said to have waged war and made peace. according to the elven chronicler and prince, prince agolfin said that over this tile tile the union of the setechan slav under belgor 1st no less than 400 archons died with there kingdoms in war. the most famous of these archons to have lost his title is the said to be lazar the last or lazar petrnvic. he lost his throne when his wooden castle was destroyed by Michael Mentanavic. he went into the west it was said with a band of some 100 followers and he is said to have been the founder of House of petrnovic. within setercha it is said that there where 600 kingdoms. a more accurate number would probably about 50 mini states the largest of which was run by house mentanavic. however due to the elven kings they where unable to take over all the slav states as they wished to keep the slavic people disunited to keep them unstable and more malleable. the first an only person to fully unit the seterchan slav people was Belgor 1stfirst high cheiften of setercha began his rule after he defeated his father Michael at battle on the syren river. belgors reign was peaceful and fruitful. his sister wife helena giving two children. however with the arrival of the sultan his legacy was in dangerous and the fate of his realm. however instead of going to war with The sultan he knelt and asked that his people be protected. the sultan beckoned him to rise and made him prince belgor 1st prince of setercha. he was allowed to build a new home and so He built the city of belgrodna with the help of the abrians and there eleven allies.
early history within the empire- the new setercha was a poor state with a small amount of territory. it was surrounded by elven kings who wished to see it used as a pawn. prince belgor fended these threats off but as his son andrey came to the throne 4871YBCW this position was compromised. his brother Andrew who was 3 years younger than his brother. requested that he be given control of the country. but andrey refused and continued to allow elven lords into the country. andrey reign saw massive amounts of slavs enter the young principality. while many of these would pass through and would go on to form bron The frontier kingdom and the lorddom of mortjzia alot of slav stayed and the county began to starve. supply caravans passing though elven realms from the empire struggled to feed the population. even lords exacted heavy taxes on seterchan good. so after two years of his half brother reign Andrew and his sister wife hazelia ordered there brother to abdicate the throne. andrey haply accepted and gave the crown willingly to his brother. he however left with his lover an elven bard and they went to live in the black forest. Andrew and hazelia would reign until Andrews death at the age of 62. he was remembered as Andrew the the hunter due to his love of hunting and battle. his son Ameron would rule next as ameron 1st and he was wed to his sister begella.
War of old races and men- prince radavan 1st was the know at the time as radavan the bold lead the seterchan army against its elven enemy in the name of sultan caboos. he however wouldn't survive the war and his 16 year old son took the throne 3 years before the war ended 1987YBCW his son also called radavan would become know as radavan the black after taking the black forest and linking up with the keroi's who were fighting from the house of von anerian. during there time in the war the seterchan princes expanded south destroying the old esvedell empire joining with the slav settelers in that land who had been settled by the aencit slav hero heranacus.
after the war of old races- since the war of old races setercha has stood loyal to the sultan however it does have some tensions especially around the fact that Castilian had more power than them. the first major engagement after involving setercha was the beginning of the wars and skirmishes which would become The setrchan frontier kingdom war. this promoted the building frontier fortification in the black forest.
The summer and winter Princes- many seterchans served in the empires war one of the most famous is Ameron Mentanvic and his brother stauwart 1st. ameron fought in king nikolais rebellion and gave up his place as heir to his father and stauwart became prince. the two brothers were close and fought against a great invasion by the keroi's. ameron was killed and his body lay to rest with the boy's father.
under the eterias and the age of lostians- after justian the 8th won his war against sultan Orhan 2nd his ally the 30 year old Dimity eteria (501YBCW-433) became prince of setercha dimity 1st. his massive family became the leading nobles in the family and a lostian district was made in Belgrodna this started the reign of the eteria family. the eterias would over see the beginning of modernization of the seterchan army. however this was difficult as there was a constant threat that the mentnanvic's may return. in 465YBCW dimitry promoted his 18 year old son Paul (483YBCW-433YBCW) to protector of the northern boarder and had him marry the lady of likij. the second Justinianit war began dimity was 44 year old and he sent his troops into the governance to fight of the mentanavic army in exile. when dimity 1st died at the age of 68 paul became paul 1st. his rule was relatively peaceful and he was liked in a fashion as he attempted to learn slav but found it difficult to speak. however when sultan Mohammad 12th in 409YBCW went to war Paul sided with his lostian kin. his army however when there true prince Lazar 2nd defeated them on the boarder defected and Paul and what troops he had where forced to march home along with the other lostia people in setercha. Lazar marched into belgrodna and was met with cheers. his exile army was kissed by the girls as they march triumphantly through the capital. he them went on a purge of the lostian quarter and killed off all the lostian lords. he personally killed three of them who had served as prince pauls leading ministers.
the rule of luka the mad- 399YBCW Prince Luka mentnavic was born. At the age of 26 his father died and he became prince. however this irasponsible prince already had 8 bastard children the first 8 of Prince Luka’s bastards. His advisors got him to marry mezera haysyrax the 28 year old daughter of the leader of house haysyrax. his irresponsible nature was hated by the princess and her attitude towards him made him hate her and the two divorced shortly after. he would then have another bastard son. This prince earned the title of the mad when after a battle on the frontier he hung the prisoners by the trees but had there faces paint there faces with a smile in there own blood as he said he wanted the forest to look pretty. secretly he liked to experiment with alchemy, magic and early science. his reign was through the grand military revolution and his experiments made weapons including bullet laced with alchemy fire. an experimental flame thrower adapted from the ones used by scarts (although this weapons often exploded and so was never made) some of these experiments where on himself and this changed his attitude. he would run naked through the palace or he would send the army out on wild goose chances. this earned him the title mad. he would also continue to have bastards. his madness seemed to change when 355YBCW he married countess Ferdinanda a countess from the verainberg empire. and that same year his first true born son was born and he was named Fredrick. he was close to the boy and when the mother died he grew even closer. wishing to make sure his madness didn't continue they married him to the 26 year old daughter of the duke of lostia. she was loved by the court both for her looks (she was a typical member of the azroves with beautiful sea foam green eyes) and her intelligence. she two gave him a son who was born 354YBCW and was called George.
Reign of Fredrick 1st and the civil war-
Reign of the one eyed dragon- at the age of 19 lech mentanivic 2nd became prince of setercha. the wounded he had sustained on the frontier had earned him the name scar king or the one eyed dragon. the young prince who was a mental damaged young man due to the death of his sister wife Freya and his infant daughter shortly after. however he ruled fairly and with an open hand but made sure. however ht young princess elder sisters attempted to remove him in favor for one of them. the resulting short war would be called the war of the three sisters as it was lech's eldest sisters who attacked him. he raised an army of 2000 men and was able to stop them before they reached belgrodna. the sisters were unable to brake the loyalist army and were forced to surrender. instead of killing them he had the three married off. the eldest fredricka was married to a member of one of the great houses the republic of san antonia. the next eldest of the three Louisa was married to the sultans brother and the youngest of the three katrina was married to the duke of lostia's eldest son. despite his reign being peaceful roomers among his enemy said that the prince hung his enemy by trees. others said the prince could turn into a half dragon and ripped his enemy apart. this of coarse was not true but the princes physical appearance scared children when he made his progress through the realm. while he ruled justly and open handily with his people the same couldn't be said for his minor lords who he ruled over with an iron fist after his sister rebellion. he had a private army of mercenary scourer the land making sure his lords stayed complaint with him. he introduced morning polices and built on his fathers old one and this gained him a reputation with the sultan who promoted him to deputy govoner of duel administrated territorys. when he left 10000 seterchan slav migrated with him and populated the area aroundthe mentanavic family esate in the southern continent. however he left his trusted advisor georgi ivanovich the commander of his private army in charge. his rule was as open handed as his prince and employer however he introduced more laws giving the police the power to finally arrest members of the profits law who had committed crimes. when the prince returned. the prince returned at the age of 41. 200YBCW his first son an heir was born who he named lech. his next son Andrew was born 2 years later and his daughter francesca was born 196YBCW. his eldest son was a typical soldier and spent alot of time in the frontier. lech had him married to Cristina mentanavic-zola and his second son and daughter would fall in love and were married. his first son was killed fighting on the frontier and his body brought back with a pair of raven wings carved on his back. andrew was outraged and demanded blood. lech not wishing war didn't and had his son body buried. he tired to reconcile with his next son an heir but andrew had grown bitter and the only thing he wanted was revenge. t the age of 68 princess meria died and prince lech was said to be inconsolable and he would died 2 years later. many believed it was became of the tumor he had but many of the doctors believed it was because of a broken heart.
reign of the red dragon- after his fathers death Andrew 2nd became prince at the age of 26 172YBCW and his first son Andrew was born the same year. most of his reign was spent fighting and he killed all the keroi's he could get his hands on and carved the dragon sigil of House of Mentanavic on there backs. he saw himself as the uniter of the slav people and as the snow on the boarder he saw his chance. the frontier army and moved to fight in The war of the long winter and left only a token force. he and his young son Andrew lead an army into the lands know in slav as carniola. he was able to capture half of the county and set up his own capital and had himself crowned king. however this was not liked by the sultan and he stationed an army at his boarder. princess francesca mentanavic was in belgrodna with her other two children [Francesco mentanvic and Lechina mentanvic she didn't want war but her blood ceased husband out for revenge stayed in his new kingdom. however when the war of the long winter ended the frontier army returned and attacked the new kingdom. the crown prince was captured and only then did Andrew see his mistake. however he fought on until he was pushed out. his son was eventually returned but the red dragon was forced to abdicate in favor of his son who became Andrew 3rd.
THE REGIN OF ANDREW 3RD-
The liberal dragon and his family- Andrew 3rd was made prince when his father was forced to abdicate at the age of 18. his wish was to be a batter man than his father and he began radical changes to the country. He cut spending to the army and put it into public works like hospitals and roads. his early reign so the official end of the laws allowing his lords to raise private armys. he placed heavy taxes on the wealth. At the age of 22 the prince married his cousin jahera mentanvic the daughter of his uncle Lech. his first son was born when he was 30 . he named him [Radavan mentanvic. his next two children were [Stephan mentanvic born 140YBCW and his final child Olga was born a year later. the same year of his daughters birth his first true test came. the keoris attempted to invaded. they stormed through the weakened boarder in the north and lay siege of the likij castle and the northern city of kerisa. however this prince was a great military lead and took the seterchan army and crushed the invasion but after he had done so he asked for peace and invited the keroi's to belgrodna for peace talks. the city had both royal standards flying and the kerois were allowed safe passage. the resulting peace talks saw the kerois agree not to attack setercha on the condition that the seterchans give then finical support and trade. at the age of 18 his son radavan left for the imperial capital after he gelded and whipped his daughters lover through the streets of the capital. his eldest son then went to the imperial capital and the young boy who was working for the prince as a repressive of the keroi's was allowed to come out of jail. his two other child Stephan and olga were easier to handle and shared his values where as his eldest was a lose cannon and idealized his grandfather.
Return of Andrew's heir and the beginning of trouble-When Radavan returned he had a wife Princes Jasmine ,the daughter of the sultan.the two arrived a week before the wedding of stephan and Olga in 123YBCW. half way through the wedding radavan and left jasmine. the heir's wife was loved in the seterchan court. but unlike her husband, she was bright and loving and was most loved by jahera mentanvic who acted as a second mother to the princess. it was jahera who jasmine turned to after her husband final had his way with her. . from there the mentanvic family began to grow with Rudolf born by Olga and [Michael mentanavic born of Radavan, both boys were born 123YBCW. radavan however would leave after his second son birth and when he returned he almost killed his brother when he had returned from war with a mistress and his father demanded he should set her aside. his son lashed out at his brother when Stephan tried to reason with radavan and the princes guards settled the first. this would be the first time the mentanvics almost killed one another. radavans children, who had never like there bastard cousin Rudolf pushed the young boy to far and the bastard badly wounded his cousin. then after a duel of honer Rudolf won but didn't kill Michael and seeing something in the young bastard named him rudolf count of nis.

the syren river starting in the mountains of the valley of the sultan runs south through the land and runs under the ground int the western forest of the principality.
