the vicroyalty of montrgha
the vicroyet of montrgha controls a warm and sugar rich land. they remain loyal to the sultan during the civil war but they have been weary not to send troops wishing to defend there territory. the current viceroy is man by the name of Asir miltovic who's son mihilo is the son in law of the lord of hjez.
Structure
the vicory is at the top of the state. it is a heredity post and under him there are three local lords how control the three main regions on the vicroyet.
Assets
montrgha is the only area of the empire in the northern continent able to grow sugar.
the army of the vicroyet the vicroys guards are a battle hardened mercenary force who know they ways of war.
as well as these the vicroy also has a large trade fleet which know has been taken under the control of the twin sultanates navy
History
origins-The title of viceroy hadn’t existed in the twin sultanates. But when a north slav ventured south with a massive amount of money after the The war of Men and the 'Old' races he saw opportunities . He bought town and started working on the rich sugar fields. This trade made lots of money for him and he expanded his territory buying from local lords. His territory had grown and his trade empire had grown from sugar to multi product including spices and arms and precious stones. But he saw a threat to his power the local lords around him wanted his land after he died but the lord wanted his son to rule after him so he went to the imperial court knelt before the emperor and asked him to make him a title so that his son could rule after him. He promised that he would serve the empire loyal ally. The sultan pondered then delivered him the title of imperial viceroy. the noble ante miltovic became the first viceroy around 1930YBCW. over the next 100 years around 20000 slav migrated south.
a safe haven- due to there wealth the vicroy and his family became a safe haven for bankers and slaver wishing to do there trade without large imperial taxes.
Demography and Population
most of the population live in the coastal towns. smaller amounts of people live in the villages and mountains in the north. most of the population is abrian however a large minority is slav
Territories
Most of the land is flat and farm land with sugar plantations and vineyards on the coast. The east is dominated by a small mountain range.
The county of the river lands in the vicroyet- with in the area controlled by stephen the lands of the iron fort has most of the mountains and rivers. The rivers which run into the lowlands is run by the imperial bey’s or counts in slav. Elissea is the countess of these lands. The lowland river people live an isolated life fishing in the river trading with the other villages. The beys palace is very small but it is built into the side of a mountain. The riverlands provide troops for the imperial army rufly 700 men joining the imperial army every 5 years.
Military
vicroys guards act as the area main armed force but there is a small local millita long with an imperial garrison of around 2 thousand. Many local Slav tribes also control small bands of military the most famous the mountain tribes which supplied 700 irregulars to iron fort army
Foreign Relations
with in the empire the victroyet has a strong relationship with the the other slav nations.
Agriculture & Industry
in the south the greatest industry is sugar. in the mountines there are minerals and on the coast a merchant navy have a monoply on some trade routes.
Infrastructure
The victoyet has a one railway linking it with the strait ports. Most roads lead east and north linking them with setrecha and proper the sultanate of Abria
