Azowyr's Plane
Like all Aspects, Azowyr dwells within a parallel plane that overlaps the physical world, connecting to it directly where shadows occur in the physical world. These shadows, which constantly move and change, act as windows and portals to and from this Elemental Plane. The darker or lighter the shadow, the stronger or weaker that connection is. This makes this plane one of the most interconnected and ever present. Azowyr's Plane is also a part of Zalikar himself, connected to his mind and a physical piece of his soul. All magic related to shadows, racial or otherwise, draws from or utilizes this plane and from Zalikar himself.
Geography

There is nothing in this plane except for shadow and there are no natural sources of light. To the ordinary eye, this plane is totally dark and totally empty. Like many planes there is also no gravity. However, if one possesses some form of dark vision, the plane has far more to offer. Shadows in the form of a charcoal smoke or umbral silk add contrast to the plane, imitating shadows which exists within the physical world. These splay across the plane, imitating and overlaying the physical world in a bizarre reflection, one defined by shadow rather than light.
Above and below exist two separate oceans of shadow, far more opaque than these imitations. The sea above tends to behave like clouds and cloth while the one below behaves more like an actual sea, undulating gently. The smoky imitations tend to stretch up or down from these pools of shadow and return to them as the corresponding shadow in the physical world fades. Azowyr himself lurks within and directs the state of the plane, which are linked to his emotions. And while most humans have forgotten, there have been tales of shadow beasts lurking within.
Fauna & Flora

There are beasts and plants which can come and go from the plane but, as there is nothing but shadow within, few can sustain themselves permanently. Most activity is centered around the Tenebrous Chain.
Tourism

This is one of the least traversed elemental planes in Emynea alongside Vokda's Plane. Zalikar ruthlessly sought out dark casters after regaining his power and those capable of stepping in and out of his shadow plane were the easiest to track down. Any time they stepped into this plane he could sense it so only those willing to never use their magic again were able to survive this purge. The only known caster of Azowyr's Step is Euan MacFheargus and he uses this ability generously. Otherwise, only Duff or Shape Shifters can access the plane.
