These are the individuals not affiliated with the Light or Dark factions or with the government. Most of them are commoners who do not care for what happens at the empire-level and are instead focused on their own Estate.

The Arianiens

People without one of the main political affiliations leaving in the Estate of Arianie.

Élise Sartoi

Élise Sartoi is the manager of the Splendeur des Sens, a business in Arianie owned by the Alyssennes (see The Alyssenniens) and that they use to sell their crafts and take orders from customers. Élise has very weak magic and thinks that since the Alyssennes have been gone for 25 years, the business might has well belongs to her!

Orphanage matron

The matron of the main Arianian orphanage, the place where Lady Annabelle Alyssenne grew up. She is extremely strict with the children under her care and does not tolerate nonsense, qualities necessary to keep the orphanage in any semblance of order and prevent the children from murdering each other or from being exploited by unscrupulous people. With age, she has become more and more bitter because of the lack of support she has received from the Arianian local government.
She is also jealous of all children who have strong magic, as they have a chance to escape the orphanage and climb the social ladder, yet most do not bother remembering where they come from and to send help or money back at the orphanage. This means that she positively hated Annabelle and put her down at any occasion and was only too happy to get rid of her when the government came calling.

The Alyssenniens

The Watrons and Sélinons are two commoner families that have recently gained in influence in the Estate of Alyssenne, yet never truly care for what happens in the rest of the empire when there is already so much to focus on in the Estate. The disappearance of Annabelle for 15 years has especially encouraged them to size power and change the Estate.

The Zériessiens

The Zériessiens are particularly politically active has the House of Zériesse is currently leading an experiment and relinquishing almost all of their political power in favour of the local elected assembly. Rosalie Gauthier is one of these politicians.
